Residential Trips

The primary purpose of the Lincolnsfields Children’s Centre Charity is to provide group residential facilities for children/young people for school journeys, holidays or training events.

The Centre which re-opened in 2005 accommodates up to 80 children plus staff in purpose built ‘log cabin’ style dormitory accommodation. In addition there is a large dining hall, two classroom / meeting areas, T.V./ games lounge, arts & crafts room, medical room and outdoor play areas.

The complex is situated within our approximate 12 acre Green Belt site which includes a woodland area and a pond which can be used for environmental studies. Groups staying at the Centre can have planned access to our soft-play centre The Linconsfields Playzone and our indoor sports hall.

Safety is our primary concern and the new facilities were designed after consultation with the existing users (both children and staff) to ensure that children have an ‘experience which money couldn’t buy’ and that staff feel confident that their children are safe.

The Centre has full disabled access and facilities, enabling us to provide for the needs of all children.

Our Programmes

Our programmes can be a mixture of fun and learning covering a range of National Curriculum Study topics at Key Stage 1 & 2.

Environmental / Team Building

Options for your programme could be based on a more environmental or team building theme including, Riddles Walk, parachute games, arts and crafts or sports with a member of our team providing support if required.

The Centre can be used as a base for your group to explore the wider area as we are close to London with good transport links, St Albans with its links to Roman England, Warner Brothers Studio Tour – Harry Potter, ZSL Whipsnade Zoo or Woburn Safari Park, Legoland, Thorpe Park, various ten pin bowling alleys and Bushey Grove swimming pool.

Evening activities can include a campfire with BBQ, quiz night or a disco. We can also arrange a visit to The PlayZone our indoor soft play. Click here to the download activity price list.

We recommend that you arrange a pre-visit so that you can see facilities at first hand and discuss your needs with our staff.

Children at War Evacuee Experience

Imagine being able to take your pupils back to war-time England in the 1940’s to experience life as a child evacuee as part of a fun, safe exciting three day visit.

Our programme – which is the only one of its kind in the U.K. can include one or two simple pre-visit classroom activities — making their own I.D. label and Gas Mask box (we can supply templates to booked groups) This can help to get them into role for when they arrive as an evacuee.

Catering

Our catering staff can provide for all special dietary needs whether for medical, cultural or religious requirements but, where necessary groups can opt to be self-catered.
