OUR STORY
The Centre is a registered charity that provides a variety of opportunities led by our enthusiastic team catering to the needs of children, young people and adults whether they visit us for a residential journey with their school or community group, a school day evacuee visit to the 1940’s Experience, or attend our open day event on the last Sunday of every month (children with an accompanying adult).

We are proud to welcome you to the Lincolnsfields Centre — an environment that is challenging, exciting and fun.
Equally importantly, it is safe and secure — we can provide regularly updated, full risk assessments for all activities.

Sharing our site are a number of other organisations and community groups who provide a wide range of other activities and services such as Lincolnsfields PlayZone (Soft Play), Watford Freestyle Kickboxing, Lorraine’s School of Dance and Drama, Bushey/Borehamwood Sub Aqua, Little Acorns Montessori School, SWH Model Railway Club and Life Enhancement (Adult needs group).

The Lincolnsfields Centre is situated within the M25 on the North side of London in Bushey near Watford, Hertfordshire. We are located on what was originally the site of Bushey Hall – the wartime location of the USAAF 8th Fighter Command Headquarters 1942 – 1945 and is a unique WW2 Heritage site

Our primary role is the Residential Centre where we offer both Environmental or Children at War experience to enable groups under adult supervision to spend time away from their usual environment. Our Residential Centre is also available for self catered groups throughout the year.
Our secondary role is the 1940’s Experience – Children at War day visit where your day will enable you to experience how life was as a child evacuee during WW2. Our sessions include 1940’s house, Dig for Victory Garden, the experience of the Blitz and a visit to the Museum.
For parents and grandparents who have been told by their children and grandchildren how exciting the 1940’s experience was, why not visit us for one of our Sunday Open days.
